ELEMENTS INVOLVED IN SECTARIAN KILLINGS ARE PURSUING THEIR VICIOUS AGENDA
Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has deplored the bloodshed of innocent people in Quetta, Gilgit and Karachi in sectarian violence and termed it a conspiracy to drive a wedge between the followers of different schools of thought.
Mr Hussain said that the elements involved in instigating sectarian strife and killings of innocent people were working on a vicious agenda to spoil the environment of peace, harmony and brotherhood. Those fanning the fire of sectarian feuds were enemies of the country and must be dealt with strongly.
Mr Hussain said that the country was in the throes precarious circumstances, and it was the need of the hour to forge unity, harmony and brotherhood among the people.
Mr Hussain appealed to the religious scholars of different schools of thoughts to preach tolerance, patience and brotherhood in their sermons. He asked the people not to get provoked by any incendiary incident and remain peaceful. He asked them to frustrate the conspiracies by remaining united.
Mr Hussain extended heartfelt sympathies to the families whose loved-ones have been killed in the sectarian related violence in Quetta, Gilgit and Karachi.
Mr Hussain appealed to President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani, and Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to take action against the terrorists involved in sectarian violence and bring them to justice.
