Rendering people who served Pakistan homeless a brutal injustice: Dr Nadeem Ehsan
LONDON. Jul 17, 2018:
Muttahidda Qaumi Movement146s (MQM) Coordination Committee Convener Dr Nadeem Ehsan has vehemently slammed the order for rendering the residents of Martin Quarters, Cleaton Quarters, Jehangir Road146s residents, F. C. Areas residents on orders of Pakistan State Department.
He demanded that the orders for rendering the residents of above-mentioned areas should immediately be revoked. The residents of these areas living in small quarters have served the country more than any and the Movement146s founder and leader Mr. Altaf Hussain has always raised his demand for them legal owners of those residential units in their names. Subsequent to his demands, the federal government had already announced to give property ownership rights to those residents and the federal government had also assured that those residents would never be asked to leave their residential units.
However, on orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the residents have been served with notices for the evacuation and thus thousands of residents who had been in public service and served the country for decades have been placed under the threat of homelessness. This is nothing but a sheer example of injustice, he deplored.
The Convener Dr Ehsan while showing complete solidarity with the residents of aforementioned zones in Karachi demanded the federal government to immediately withdraw the orders and notices for the evacuation
