ALTAF HUSSAIN SLAMS PAKISTAN’S MILITARY FOR BUTCHERING PASHTOONS IN CONNIVANCE WITH “GOOD TALIBAN”
LONDON. Jun 8, 2018: Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Founder leader Mr. Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned military action against local leaders in the Northern tribal area Wana in Waziristan in connivance with “Good Taliban.”
In his condemnation statement, he said that since the people of tribal areas have started raising their voices for their rights that have been usurped and suppressed since decades, the military establishment of Pakistan has launched a genocidal military action against them. The list of the martyrs at the hands of Pakistan’s military establishment in Wana and other tribal areas is very long. Those who escaped yet are facing arbitrary arrests and enforced disappearances.
Mr. Hussain said that Pakistan’s military establishment has joined hands together with the terrorists Taliban it has now named them as “Good Taliban” and thus both the military of Pakistan and the terrorists Taliban are jointly massacring the innocent people of tribal areas especially Wana in Waziristan. The Pashtoon community is now a target of the military establishment of Pakistan.
The MQM Founder Leader demanded the UN Secretary General to send a Probe Commission to Wana in Waziristan immediately to determine the losses so far accrued to Pashtoon community at the hands of Pakistan’s military establishment such as extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrests, enforced disappearances, unlawful detentions and state-sponsored repression. These atrocities should at once be ended, he demanded further.
He expressed solidarity to the aggrieved Pashtoon families and appealed to the Pashtoons to get united against the tyrant forces against them.
