DR EHSAN, RAZA DEMAND IMMEDIATE PROBE IN ATTACK ON FED. MIN AHSAN IQBAL
London 6th May 2018: MQM Central Coordination Committee Convener Dr Nadeem Ehsan and Deputy Convener Qasim Ali Raza have strongly condemned cowardly attack on federal interior minister Mr. Ahsan Iqbal.
In a joint statement, they said that the life attack on federal interior minister is a question mark on tall claims of peace and tranquility in the country made by certain top quarters of the power corridors. This is a candid clear portrayal of worst law and order and strong hold of extremism in Pakistan as none is safe here.
They said that the difference of opinion is the jewel of democracy but suppressing the voices on the pretext of political differences only portrays the extremist mindset that has gripped the country from all corners and there is dire need of rejecting this extremist mindset. The culture of tolerance should be promoted and encouraged to fight away the extremism, they added.
Dr Ehsan and Mr. Raza demanded that immediate investigations should be initiated on life attack on federal interior minister and those who planned for the attack should at all cost be exposed.
They prayed for the early recovery of the injured federal interior minister
