Good evening ladies and gentlemen,

I would firstly like to welcome you to our 34th foundation day of the MQM.

Amongst us we have our brothers, sisters and dignitaries, but I would like to welcome one of my true comrades who has been a part of the apartheid struggle, who has fought alongside Nelson Mandela, and is now with us to ensure that we achieve our freedom, Mr Solly Mapaila 1st Secretary General of the South African Communist Party.

Comrade Solly, as you have been apprised, we have lost over 22000 innocent souls in our struggle to achieve our freedom, since 2013 over 1000 of my workers in Karachi, Pakistan have been subjected to enforced disappearances, 58 have been extrajudicially killed and over 10,000 are in arbitrary detention without access to any due process, the culprits Pakistan’s military and intelligence agency the ISI.

All these issues of persecution had reached its height when they abducted my deputy convenor Professor Hassan Zafar Arif from Karachi, the intelligence agencies of Pakistan, the ISI had abducted, tortured him and dumped his body in the urban areas of Karachi, he was 72 years old PhD scholar from Harvard university and lecturer of Philosophy at Karachi university, his crime - his affiliation to me.

We seek your assistance to assist us in spreading the word of persecution being faced by the Mohajirs and to hold those accountable for the injustices being unleashed against my nation.

Together we can ensure that another modern apartheid is stopped before it begins.

Once again thank you for your solidarity, I am most grateful.
