PPP’S ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PARTY ASSEMBLY AT JINNAH GROUND A SHEER MANIFEST OF CHEAP HOOLIGANISM
LONDON. April 11, 2018: MQM Coordination Committee has while commenting on an announcement from Pakistan People’s Party for holding a public gathering inside the Jinnah Ground, Azizabad, said that since PPP is in power and has its provincial government, it could use extra high state powers and state machinery to implement its nefarious agenda of holding a public assembly at Jinnah Ground but still it could never succeed in snatching the mandate of the MQM that the Mohajir Nation has always given to their sole representative party, MQM.
In a statement issued here, the committee said that at one hand, the MQM has been victimised by the state of Pakistan and its military institutions while the anti-Mohajir pro-Sindhi PPP’s provincial government imposes sanctions on Mohajirs so that they could not visit the Jinnah Ground in which close vicinity is situated the MQM’s Martyrs Monument. The bereaved families of the martyrs have since past many years been restricted by the state of Pakistan, PPP;s provincial government and the military establishment from performing their religious rites and rituals for the peace and soothing of the departed souls of the martyrs.
The committee said that PPP’s announcement for holding party public gathering at Jinnah Ground is a mere show of cowardice because the Mohajirs are since long been facing a genocidal military operation and they are facing restrictions for carrying welfare, social and political programmes. PPP’s announcement is noting but a sheer hooliganism. PPP has to pay back for its heinous crimes against the Mohajir Nation, it warned.
