SC SHOULD INTERVENE TO STOP VVIP TREATMENT TO NOTORIOUS, KILLER RAO ANWAR: MQM COORDINATION COMMITTEE
LONDON. March 23, 2018: MQM’s Coordination Committee has strongly slammed the government and its law enforcing authorities over providing VVIP status to criminal cop SSP Rao Anwar, who has been allowed to stay at his house instead of jail. Anwar is facing court trial on charges of extrajudicial executions of over 450 civilians for money.
It is worth mentioning that Anwar is a notorious Police officer who has executed hundreds of Mohajirs, Balouchs and Pashtuns in fake encounter with his team of cops and officers and minted billions in extortion. Pakistani media is round the clock reporting his evil deeds but the authorities are treating him as VVIP, which is so shameful. Eminent academician and University of Karachi Dean faculty of Philosophy Prof. Dr Hassan Zafar Arif was also a fateful whom Anwar executed in connivance with the country’s military and intelligence forces.
His tale of crimes and extrajudicial killings of the innocent civilians for money is very long but still the country’s apex court avoided keeping him jailed but allowed him to enjoy the comforts and luxuries at home though he is under arrest, it deplored.
The duality of standard was exhibited on his production in Supreme Court as he was not handcuffed despite that he has a declared offender and that scene was watched by millions. Unlike ordinary offenders and criminals, Anwar was brought to Karachi from country’s federal capital in plane in VVIP protocol, the Committee said adding that Anwar has executed hundreds of MQM activists especially slain Farooqu Patni in fake encounters.
The Committee slammed the VVIP treatment and protocol providers especially the PPP and its provincial government, which is equally responsible and partner with Anwar in countless extrajudicial executions of Mohajirs.
It called for immediate withdrawal of VVIP protocol from the most notorious criminal Anwar and deal with him like other criminals. The SC should intervene for the proper implementation of law on all criminals in singular manner.
