Death of Asma Jahangir a Colossal, Irreparable loss: MQM founder & leader Altaf Hussain
LONDON. February 11, 2018: Founder and leader of the MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has expressed deep sorrow and grief over death of eminent lawyer, social activist and rights activist Barrister Asma Jahangir.
In his message of condolence, he said that late Ms. Jahangir was a symbol of courage, valour and commitment and had strived for the democracy and humanity. She never got intimidated by any ruler whether civilian or military and dared to challenge the dictators.
Mr. Hussain said that her death is an irreparable and colossal loss and the country has lost a brave lawyer, a vibrant social and human rights activist and dedicated supporter of democracy. Her loss could never be filled.
The leader of the Movement said that late Ms. Jahangir was a true patriotic Pakistani national and her entire life was devoted for the democracy. Her services for the democracy, human rights and supremacy of the law and the constitution would always be remembered.
Mr. Hussain expressed his complete solidarity with the aggrieved family and assured the family that entire MQM and him are with them.
He prayed for the departed soul and sought Almighty Allah’s blessing for her resting in eternal peace.
