MQM REJECTS CER ON PROF. ARIF’S CAUSE OF DEATH, SAYS THE REPORT IS FABRICATED

LONDON. January 23, 2018: MQM Coordination Committee convener Dr Nadeem Ehsan has while condemning the authorities for declaring the cause of death of slain MQM senior leader, academician and thinker Prof. Dr Hassan Zafar Arif rejected the chemical examination report.
In his statement, he said that immediately after Prof. Arif was found dead and dumped in his car in Ibrahim Hyderi area, Police and medicolegal had claimed the cause of death natural. The authorities concerned had ignored the condition of his body with sigs of torture and bleeding from nose. Not only this, the SSP of district East Sultan Khawaja had also lied that Prof. Arif die of natural causes.
Apart from this fake report, the compilation of it was deliberately delayed so as to falsely maintain that the cause of death was quite natural, said the Convener adding that the chemical examination report is fabricated, which the MQM completely rejects as it is prepared with a purpose of deceiving the people and the Movement.
The facts could not be concealed for long as everyone is confident that Prof. Arif was assassinated in custody of the security forces and they could not dupe the people with fabricated chemical examination report.

The security forces are guilty of this heinous crime and that they had also in recent past prior to his execution in custody unlawfully detained him pressurised and tortured and threatened him of dire consequences.
Dr Ehsan appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice Saquib Nisar to take suo motu notice of Prof’ Arif’s death in custody and fabricated chemical examination report with an aim to give protection to the assassins. He also appealed to the rights organisations in Pakistan and at international level to initiate investigations on Prof’ Arif’s assassination by the security forces.
