ALTAF HUSSAIN DEMANDS UN, HRW, AI TO SEND TEAMS TO PAKISTAN TO INVESTIGATE CUSTODIAL ASSASSINATION OF PROF. HASSAN ZAFAR ARIF

LONDON. January 18, 2018: MQM founder and leader Mr. Altaf Hussain has said that the ISI had detained MQM senior slain leader Prof. Dr Hassan Zafar Arif in one of its “safe Houses” for 24 hours on Dec 8, 2018 and was threatened of life threats. The United Nations (UN), Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch (HRW) should without fail ask the government of Pakistan to hand over the record of CCTVs installed around Ibrahim Hyderi so that the killers of him should be exposed and then dealt with in accordance to law of the country.
This he demanded through his audio message he delivered Thursday evening.
Giving details about the cold blooded custodial death of Prof. Arif, Mr. Hussain said that the slain MQM leader was kidnapped by the ISI and paramilitary Rangers and detained for 24 hours at ISI’s safe house on Dec 9, 2017 and was plainly threatened of dire consequences in case he would not stop back from MQM. However, the slain Prof. declined to accept their dictation and plainly told them that he was not doing anything wrong and that he would keep struggling for the oppressed people. Subsequent to his refusal for accepting the dictation, he was again kidnapped while he was enroute to his daughter’s in DHA from his office situated in Fareed Chambers in Saddar area of the city on the eve of Jan 13, 2018. His daughter was scheduled to leave for abroad and that’s why he had postponed all of his scheduled meetings and other party programmes. Nonetheless, the military establishment’s and ISI’s cruel officers did not allow him to see his daughter and killed him in custody and dumped his body on the rear seat of his personal car near Ilyas Goth in Ibrahim Hyderi. This particular area has a very bad name with regard to smuggling of goods and other stuffs to India and the sad fact is that this entire area is under control, and surveillance of Pakistan Navy, fully protected with CCTV, which footages could easily help trace the assassins of him.
Mr. Hussain appealed to the UN, Amnesty International and HRW to send their teams to Pakistan and grab the CCTV footages so as to exposing the assassins of Prof Arif. It should be a point of [pivotal importance as how Prof. Arif was found dead in his car at a 25-km distance from his residence located in DHA phase-VI?
Paying tribute to slain Prof. Arif, he said that he has devoted his whole for the rights of the oppressed and was jailed for two years on raising his voice on state atrocities against Pakistan People’s Party and ex-Martial Law Administrator General Jehandad Khan had also sacked him of his public service on charges of struggling for the deprived and repressed. He had taken to street when Benazir Bhutto and her slain brother was under tremendous crisis. After he chose to join MQM, he struggled for the rights of the oppressed Mohajirs and the country’s military establishment, paramilitary Rangers and country’s spy intelligence force the ISI killed him in custody because he was not ready to quit his struggle for the deprived and oppressed Mohajirs.
Mr. Hussain said that this military establishment of Pakistan is the killer of founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah, first Prime Minister of the country Khan Liaquat Ali Khan and Jinnah’s sister Fatima Jinnah and interestingly these three were also Mohajirs. Fatima Jinnah had challenged the dictatorship of General Ayub Khan and hence contested elections in his opposition due to which the military establishment and the ISI assassinated her in her house during sleep.
He said that it is the routine of the military establishment and the ISI to kill Mohajirs and they had also killed his brother Nasir Hussain and nephew Arif Husain and thousands of Mohajir youth. Likewise, they are carrying out genocide of the innocent Balouch youth as they are demanding for their rights. Father of the Mohajir Nation and founder and leader of the Movement Mr. Hussain the military establishment is of the opinion that they have eliminated the Movement by killing Prof. Arif in custody and other thousands of Mohajir youth but they should learn as they are well aware of the fact that they are the Mohajirs whom the ISI and military establishment could never cause to quit the Movement for their rights and the Movement would keep standing as it is.
He said that though Prof. Arif has been slain in custody and the military establishment considers him dead now but he would live in our hearts forever and they are not only Mohajirs but every single Balouch, Sindhi, Pathan, Seraiki, Hazarwal, Gilgiti, baltistani and Kashmiri is saddened on his unnatural and custodial death. His death is working as incentive and beacon of courage and hope for the ethnic minorities of Pakistan they should accelerated their struggle for the suppressed rights. Awareness is being risen among the oppressed ethnic folks in Pakistan and the military establishment that had recently engineered a gathering of paid and planted politicians faced a shameful disgrace as the show was utterly flopped because they masses did not attend it owing to military establishment at the back of the show.
Founder of the Movement Mr. Hussain prayed for the departed soul of slain Prof. Arif and sought the almighty Allah’s wrath on the assassins.
