KIDNAPPING, RAPE AND MURDER OF 8 YEAR ZAINUB IN KASUR, PUNJAB HORRIFIC TRAGEDY: MQM
LONDON. January 10, 2018: Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) central leaders Prof. Dr Hassan Zafar Arif and Qasim Ali Raza have condemned the murder of an eight year old girl Zainub after she was kidnapped and raped. The incident took place in district Kasur in Punjab.
In their statement, they said the incident was horrific and has saddened everyone with kind heart.
Dr Arif and Raza said that per media reports, at least 12 minor girls were kidnapped, raped and murder in a year in district Kasur. The rape and murder of Zainub is in addition to previous 12 cases.
They demanded that the perpetrators should be arrested and taken to task without fail and they should be awarded exemplary punishment.
They extended their condolences to the aggrieved family and conveyed to a solidarity message of the leader of the Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain that each and everyone in the Movement has been saddened and stands beside them.
On the other, Dr Arif and Mr. Raza slammed district Kasur Police for showering bullets on the protesters, who were demanding arrest of Zainub’s rapist murderer. Subsequent to firing by Police, at least two died on the spot and many sustained injuries.
They also expressed solidarity with families of protesters killed and injured by Police and demanded investigations on use of weapons on bare-handed peaceful protestors and lawful action against those responsible.
