“UNLAWFUL BAN ON MQM BE REMOVED, END THE GENOCIDAL MILITARY OPERATION AGAINST MOHAJIRS IN PAKISTAN”
“MQM is sole representative of Mohajir Nation in Pakistan and it can’t be deprived of its role for the welfare and well being of Mohajir Nation. Use of force and ban on leader of the Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain has to be ended. MQM Overseas organisers should expedite efforts for presenting case of Mohajir Nation to government, human rights organisations of their respective countries of stay and accommodation – Meeting of the dissolved Coordination Committee chaired by Qasim Ali Raza demands”
The Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s dissolved Coordination Committee members and organisers of MQM Overseas units meeting was held under the aegis of MQM International Secretariat In-charge Mr. Qasim Ali Raza to review and analyse the overall party position and affairs that merited.
The meeting expressed deep concern over ongoing genocidal military operation against MQM and Mohajir Nation under which Mohajir youth are victim of arbitrary arrest, worst physical torture and custodial deaths. The meeting slammed the government and state institution and security forces for unleashing their hatred and inflicting atrocities on Mohajir Nation. It vehemently condemned the security forces for violations of human rights of Mohajirs in Pakistan.
The meeting said that Mohajir youth and MQM activists are being kidnapped on regular basis from their homes and places of work and are enforced to disappear. The security forces is conspiring against the Mohajir Nation as it has launched its fraudulent criminalisation policy under which Mohajir youth irrespective to their high education, dedicated professional services are implicated in fake criminal cases, detained unlawfully and inflicted with unexplainable physical and mental torture during their detention without any lawful charge.
The meeting instructed all organisers from MQM Overseas units to accelerate the pace of contacting governments, Parliamentarians and rights organisations in their respective country of stay and accommodation, write to them about the details along with proofs of atrocities inflicted on to Mohajirs by security and law enforcement authorities in Pakistan.
The meetings asked the MQM Overseas units organisers to expedite their efforts to get help from authorities of their respective countries so that they could come forward to save lives of thousands of innocent Mohajirs whom the security forces have kidnapped and enforced to disappear. The efforts would include mentioning of frigid attitude and denial of justice from the courts in Pakistan as the families have been left on mercy of the nature to get back their sons but the courts are deliberately negating to dispense justice to the affected families through pending their petitions. The courts are working an dictation of Pakistan’s military establishment and its intelligence agencies.
The meeting unanimously asked Pakistan’s military chief General Qamar Jawaid Bajwah to behave with senses as the country has been engulfed in variety of challenges and crises. It is imperative that all ethnic folks in Pakistan should be allowed to enjoy equal rights, disappeared Mohajir youth and MQM activists should be returned to their homes and atrocities on Mohajir Nation should now be stopped and that the sole political representative of Mohajir Nation, the MQM should be allowed to do political and welfare works.
The meeting warned of the repercussions and consequences of repression and said that the outcome has never been productive but always remained counterproductive. The blatant use of force against Mohajir Nation would never yield fruits but would always breed hatred and the consequences of the hatred have never been pleasant.
The meeting urged upon General Bajwah to order for stopping atrocities on Mohajirs and MQM, end the censorship and ban on the leader of the Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain, and accept the mandate of MQM.
