Atrocities and violation by the Pakistani security forces in U. S. Congress and would these would be made part of U. S. Congressional record – Congressman Dana Rohrabacher
LONDON. December 21, 2017: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Coordination Committee members Qasim Ali Raza and Dr Nadeem Ehsan called on U. S. Congress Committee on Space, science and technology Vice Chairman Congressman Dana Rohrabacher in Washington DC. The meeting lasted for over two hours in a very cordial atmosphere. They discussed about variety of matters especially political matters in Pakistan and state repression on Mohajirs, atrocities, arbitrary arrests and rights violations.
The Coordination Committee members conveyed well wishes to Congressman Dana Rohrabacher on behalf of MQM founder and leader Mr. Altaf Hussain.
Mr. Dr Ehsan and Mr. Raza informed Congressman Rohrabacher that the MQM is the sole representative party of 70.0 Million Mohajirs in Pakistan and that Mr. Hussain has been struggling for rights of Mohajirs usurped by the state of Pakistan.
They informed him that rights and mandate of Mohajirs has never been respected in Pakistan and the state and its institutions have oppressed Mohajirs through wicked tactics of creation divisions in ranks and files of Mohajir Nation through use of state force and resources.
Congressman Rohrabacher was also informed of genocidal military operations against Mohajirs and said that more than 22, 000 innocent Mohajirs have so far been executed extrajudicially while thousands have been jailed unlawfully without any lawful charge.
Atrocities against Mohajirs have been at apex during past four years under genocidal military action against Mohajirs and the security forces are widely committing violation of rights of Mohajirs, they told Congressman Rohrabacher.
More than 300 MQM workers have been kidnapped and enforced to disappear by the security forces and among them are cousins and nephew of Mr. Hussain, relatives and brothers of MQM leaders in exile, residence of Mr. Hussain has been locked down and an unlawful ban on Mr. Hussain has been imposed under which the military establishment has imposed a complete media blackout, they told him.
The Coordination Committee members told Congressman Rohrabacher that the security and paramilitary forces had on December 5 used military force and restricted relatives of Mr. Hussain from observing anniversary of Mr. Hussain’s mother and restricted the participants from performing religious rituals and even recitation from the holy Quran. In addition, the security and paramilitary Rangers had used force against innocent men, women, senescent and even children, made arbitrary arrests of them and detained them in unlawful detention. The security and paramilitary forces had a day prior to MQM Martyrs day observance kidnapped MQM Coordination Committee Senior deputy Convener Prof. Dr Hassan Zafar Arif and detained him for over 24 hours.
Congressman Rohrabacher listened to MQM Coordination Committee members with complete attention and slammed Pakistani military establishment and security and law enforcement forces for misuse of force and violation of human rights, arbitrary arrests of Mohajirs, torture on detained MQM workers and unlawful ban and media blackout on Mr. Hussain.
He assured them that he would raise these atrocities and violation by the Pakistani security forces in U. S. Congress and would these would be made part of U. S. Congressional record.
Congressman Rohrabacher also ensured about health of Mr. Hussain and expressed well wished for him.
