MQM VOWS TO OBSERVE MOHAJIR MARTYRS DAY DESPITE ALL HURDLES, STATE ATROCITIES
Military establishment, paramilitary Rangers and government would make a manifest of same spirit they had made during the 21-day long protest sit-in by the zealots at Faizabad in Islamabad and avoid any use of force by calling them their own people; they would not lay hurdles and impediments to prevent Mohajirs from observing the Martyrs Day on December 9 so that Mohajir Nation could offer prayers to the departed should of the martyrs and pay the due homage for their sacrifices – Coordination Committee
LONDON. December 7, 2017: Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Coordination Committee has vowed to observe Mohajir Martyrs Day brushing aside all the impediments and hurdles being laid to prevent the observance of the Day on December 9, 2017 on which day tribute is paid to the martyrs for their unprecedented sacrifices for a noble cause.
MQM observes this day every year but sadly the state institutions, government and law enforcement authorities are taking all nefarious measures for prevention of observance of the Martyrs Day. Mohajirs are restricted from offering prayers to the departed souls of the Mohajir martyrs, recitation from the Holy Quran and the security forces are making arbitrary arrests of the innocent and peaceful Mohajirs.
The Committee said that anti-Mohajir establishment, government, local administration and others should bear in mind that despite all crooked measures and atrocities and hurdles, families of the Mohajir martyrs, youth, men women and elderly citizens would visit the Martyrs Monument in Azizabad to pay homage to their martyrs and offer prayers to the departed souls.
It expressed hopes that the military establishment, paramilitary Rangers and government would make a manifest of same spirit they had made during the 21-day long protest sit-in by the zealots at Faizabad in Islamabad and avoid any use of force by calling them their own people; they would not lay hurdles and impediments to prevent Mohajirs from observing the Martyrs Day on December 9 so that Mohajir Nation could offer prayers to the departed should of the martyrs and pay the due homage for their sacrifices.
