ALTAF HUSSAIN SAYS “PMLN LEADERS’ PROTEST OVER RANGERS UNLAWFUL ACTION IN ISLAMABAD IS ASTONISHING”
“If the PMLN won’t raise their voice on genocidal military actions against the innocent Mohajir, MQM would have no other option left except to seek UN support for right of self-determination”
LONDON. Oct 4, 2017: Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) founding leader Mr. Altaf Hussain expressed his utter astonishment on PMLN over protesting and criticizing the paramilitary Rangers over an unprecedented action by the paramilitary Rangers in Islamabad for refusing the incumbent minister for internal affairs Mr. Ahsan Iqbal to enter the premise of the accountability court. Since the minister has been extolling the Rangers for their unprecedented, unconstitutional and unlawful actions in Karachi against Mohajirs and MQM, he should not curse the Rangers but should appreciate them for their unlawful actions in Punjab and Islamabad.
He expressed these views in his latest audio message he made and issued on Tuesday.
He covered the atrocities and genocidal actions of the Rangers against Mohajir Nation since 2013 under deadliest military operation in Karachi in detail.
While addressing the ousted PM Mr. Nawaz Sharif, he said that in his regime in 1992, a deadliest military operation was launched against Mohajir Nation and when he was approached, he had endorsed and supported the military operation and claimed to have restored peace and tranquility in Karachi through that military operation and had added that he had sacrificed his friends (MQM) for that military operation.
He said that on the contrary, he (Mr. Altaf Husain) always raised his voice in his support whenever he was in hot water.
Mr. Hussain said that on the day when Mr. Nawaz Sharif had reached the accountability court, the paramilitary Rangers had held the accountability court under siege and even they did not allow their “Boss” the minister for interior affairs Mr. Ahsan Iqbal. Reaching on that insult, the interior minister had while talking to the press and media representatives said that “We would not allow anyone to establish a state within the state.” “Pakistan is a constitutional state, not a Banana Republic.”
He said that on MQM’s protest against security forces interference in civil and political matters, they were the PMLN’s ministers and leaders, who criticized MQM and blamed it for maligning the security forces but today; they are criticizing the security forces over their tyrant interference in civilian maters and blaming the security forces for creating a state within the state.
The MQM founding leader Mr. Hussain said that the paramilitary Rangers have a record of acting unlawfully and despite that they are per law answerable to provincial chief ministers but they do not even share any information before or after their unlawful actions and even that they do not obtain prior permission from their civilian Boss, the provincial Chief Minister. As they have done in Islamabad on the appearance of the ousted PM Mr. Nawaz Sharif should not be complained of or regretted because this is their way and they keep them above the law.
He asked the PMLN leaders to consider the unlawful action of the paramilitary Rangers in Islamabad as appropriate because for all of their unlawful actions, the PMLN leaders are on record saying the paramilitary Rangers did well and restored peace and tranquility in Karachi. They should also take their action as for maintain the law and order and instead of criticizing them should appreciate them.
Mr. Husain said that since the federal government of the PMLN and its leaders have always held the paramilitary Rangers as sacred cow so they should have to avoid raising fingers on it and should not get offended.
He asked the PMLN leaders to have a uniform and principled policy on the paramilitary Rangers whether in Karachi or anywhere in the country. If their unlawful action is worth condemnation, they should also be condemned for what they have been doing in Karachi for past many decades.
Mr. Hussain asked the PMLN leaders to show some courage and denounce the paramilitary Rangers for kidnapping MQM workers and family members of MQM office-bearers and workers, enforcing them to disappear, torturing them to death in custody, compelling them to change their loyalty and parting way with the MQM under the barrel of gun.
He asked the PMLN leaders to raise their voices against atrocities and genocide of Mohajir Nation as he (Mr. Altaf Hussain) does.
Mr. Hussain said that if the PMLN won’t raise their voice on genocidal military actions against the innocent Mohajir, MQM would have no other option left except to seek UN support for right of self-determination.
