MQM CONVENER SAYS TALKS ABOUT HIM SIMPLY SHEER RUMOURS, ALL NEWS ARE FAKE, BASELESS
LONDON. Sep 28, 2017: Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Coordination Committee Convener Mr. Nadeem Nusrat has flayed elements in Pakistan that spread fake news and baseless posts on social media about him. All those news and social media posts about him are baseless.
He was addressing a press conference at MQM International Secretariat here in London on tonight. Coordination Committee members Dr Nadeem Ehsan, Syed Qasim Ali Raza and Syed Mustafa Azizabadi had flanked him.
Mr. Nusrat said that he has been sick for past many days and is under treatment. However, certain elements tried to exploit from my absence and spread fake and baseless news on TV and posts on social media.
He categorically contradicted those news on TVs and posts of social media and said that he is fully in the party under the dynamic leadership of MQM founding leader Mr. Altaf Hussain and attended his birthday on Sep 17 despite his illness and weakness that has set in owing to illness.
Since the illness is so cumbersome and prevented him from executing his assigned duties and tasks, he had approached the MQM founding leader Mr. Hussain for medical leave. However, he vowed that despite his illness and strict advice for rest from his physician, he would do his best with regard to dealing with assigned responsibilities from the movement for the rights of Mohajir Nation, which was the basis of his presence in MQM under the vibrant leadership of Mr. Hussain.
The Convener said, “The enemies of Mohajir Nation have always been busy in conspiring against Mohajir nation and they have always hatched conspiracies against them for creating divisions”. “We as united Mohajir Nation under the leadership of Mr. Hussain would fail all such plots and notorious schemes against Mohajir Nation.”
Mr. Nusrat said that Mohajir Nation is facing most difficult time in their history. MQM workers and office-bearers are being largely kidnapped, detained in torture cells and are forced to change their loyalty. The enemies of Mohajir nation are bent upon forcing them to become subjects. Innocent MQM workers are being implicated in fake cases in order to compel them to stop supporting and struggling for rights of Mohajir Nation.
He also rebutted confessional statements from two MQM workers, Saleem and Zaheer and said that the statements were made on gun point and were baseless. Such statements are part of media trial against MQM as the enemies had done this in past, too.
The Convener said that statements were from the script that was poorly written and carried many questions from the writers of the scripted statement. It is clear that the script was written by an insane person, who failed to bring concrete and reasonable matters to the people.
He appealed to Mohajir Nation, MQM workers and office-bearers to remain united and pay no hed to propaganda against MQM from the enemies. MQM would continue with the struggle for rights of Mohajir Nation under all circumstances sunder the leadership of Mr. Hussain and would reach the goal soon.
