Altaf Hussain, the chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L), met United States Congressman Dana Rohrabacher and the self-exiled Khan of Kalat Suleman Dawood in London at MQM International Secretariat on Thursday.
According to a press release, Altaf briefed the American congressman on the alleged “unlawful arrests, torture, abductions, enforced disappearances and extrajudicial executions of MQM workers and Mohajirs” in Karachi and other urban areas of Sindh at the hands of law-enforcement agencies.
The MQM founder told Rohrabacher that “MQM members are being subjected to severe human rights violations”, and that workers and their relatives “have gone missing after being taken into unlawful custody by security forces hailing from Punjab.”
