Rabita Committee condemns power tariff hike for consumers

Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Rabita Committee has condemned power  tariff hike . They said at a time when the country was facing inflation and unemployment, increase in power tariff would increase the woes of people. 
In a statement, the Rabita Committee said high inflation and unemployment had badly affected people. Prices of commodities have gone up. The government should have given relief to people at this time of economic crisis. They should have taken some positive measures to fight economic turmoil.  However, the present government has started following the policies of their predecessor.  They have taken loans from IMF and increased the prices of electricity and commodities, which is deplorable. 
The Rabita Committee said that the power hike for consumers would increase the woes of people. They have demanded that the government should take back the notification of unjust power hike. They should give up the policy of price hikes and provide subsidies to people.
