The meeting was continued in a pleasant atmosphere for more than three hours. Both the leaders had also dined together.
Mr. Rohrabacher and Nusrat discussed about atrocities on Mohajirs and other folks and minorities by Pakistan’s paramilitary force, Rangers in detail. They had also discussed in detail Pakistan’s strongest military establishment’s role and their patronage to the banned extremist and terrorist organisations in Pakistan.
MQM Convener Nusrat informed Mr. Rohrabacher in detail about the ongoing state operation against Mohajirs, their arbitrary arrests without legal charge and unlawful detentions, extra-judicial executions of MQM workers, worst and inhuman torture on MQM workers in detention, implication of MQM workers in fake charges, disposing off mutilated bodies of MQM workers by the paramilitary Rangers and Pakistan military’s agencies in Karachi.
Mr. Nusrat also informed Mr. Rohrabacher about tactic of ISI through paramilitary Rangers under which MQM workers are subjected to vehement torture and are compelled to stop supporting MQM and join the faction PSP and PIB they have recently created to crush MQM. All those workers, who refuse to change their loyalty, are executed and their tortured and mutilated bodies are being dumped on deserted locations.
Mr. Rohrabacher having noted the mentioning of the atrocities on Mohajirs and violation of their human rights and atrocities on minorities, showed serious concern.
He assured MQM Convener Mr. Nusrat that he would play his vibrant role for the ending of state oppression against Mohajirs, Balouchs and Pashtoons.
Both the leaders agreed on remaining in close contact and coordination with each other and they had also agreed to jointly work for the elimination of religious extremism and terrorism.
It is pertinent to mention that Mr. Rohrabacher is known as highly active member of the U. S. Congress and he has been vocal on certain issues that revolve around Pakistan especially that he had demanded plebiscite for the freedom of Balouchistan in 2013 and all leading international newspapers had carried that demand for the plebiscite as lead story.
