Why Senator from treasury bench spared despite open threats to judiciary, investigation agencies, asks MQM Convener Nadeem Nusrat
“MQM founder leader Mr. Altaf Hussain was implicated in hundreds of fake cases only on criticised law enforcers on arbitrary arrests, custodial deaths – As usual, federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is missing from the scene after his colleague threatened the judiciary, investigation authorities – Ministers in PM’s cabinet are siding with their colleague Nehal Hashmi – How Pakistan can prosper, make advancements under discriminatory laws and dual standards”
Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Pakistan Coordination Committee Convener Nadeem Nusrat while commenting on threats given to ISI, MI and all authorities concerned participating Joint Interrogation Team (JIT) by ruling party PMLN’s Senator Nehal Hashmi, said that the JIT had summoned Hussain Nawaz son of sitting Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for a couple of hours for ongoing investigation son assets and properties abroad, which has irked the PMLN leaders, ministers and Senators. Even the Senator Hashmi has given open threats to investigating authorities concerned participating in JIT and Judges for dire consequences. The Senator Hashmi has warned them all of severe repercussions for summoning PM’s son on court orders.
He said that MQM founder leader Mr. Altaf Hussain had simply criticised the state institutions and law enforcing authorities for arbitrary arrests, subjugation, torture and custodial murders of MQM workers on which the incumbent federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, cabinet ministers and other leaders had leveled allegations of treason on Mr. Hussain and hundreds of fake cases were registered in Police stations against him. The whole of the political slot had stormed at MQM founder leader Mr. Hussain just for his criticism on authorities concerned for violating the law and human rights.
However, when PMLN Senator Hashmi slammed all authorities concerned and warned them of severe repercussions, not a single case has so far been registered against him and as usual, the interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is missing from the screen while ministers in the PM’s cabinet are now on a mission of softening the harshness of Senator Hashmi’s threats.
The MQM Coordination Committee Nusrat asked the authorities concerned to explain as how the country would go forth and make progress under dual standards, discriminating measures and partisanship.
