People are passing through Dark Ages amid boastful claims of prosperity from CPEC: Nadeem Nusrat

“Blackouts have compelled people to take to streets – CPEC only an exaggerated game that does not reciprocate to ground realities – Soon the rulers would be helpless in calming down peoples’ wrath on power outages – Those who betrayed MQM founder leader Mr. Altaf Hussain have also betrayed the citizens of Karachi”

Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Pakistan Coordination Committee Convener Nadeem Nusrat has strongly condemned the power outages in Karachi, Hyderabad and other cities in Sindh province.
In his statement of condemnation, he said that the unannounced power outages for longer duration in these cities have ruined life in all aspects and having been compelled, the grossly affected population has taken to streets in protest.
The management of K-Electric and other power DISCOs have utterly failed to resolve the power crises through concrete measures and are simply leaving the consumers of electricity on nature’s mercy, said the MQM CC Convener, adding that ironically, the rulers are trumpeting the drums of the CPEC with engineered statistics and huge economic benefits, which certainly don’t reciprocate to the ground reality. The rulers have also ignored the countrywide protests on blackouts, which is self-explanatory to the so munch trumpeted CPEC benefits. The CPEC-related boastful claims for huge benefits can never be taken as serious amid ongoing serious situation of blackouts.
He warned the government to stay cautious as the blackouts for prolonged hours would soon translate into protest across the country and the governments in centre and in provinces would be helpless in controlling the wrath of the affected masses.
Nusrat also said that the citizens of Karachi city are also monitoring closely the role of those who betrayed MQM founder leader Mr. Altaf Hussain as these elements are doing nothing for the redressal of the grievances of the citizens of Karachi but are enjoying the perks and luxuries.
He asked the traitors to tell the citizens of Karachi that they have not only betrayed Mr. Hussain but are also weary of Karachiites.
