Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) observed 22nd anniversary of the Pakka Qila tragedy on Sunday with reverence and rich tributes were paid to the martyrs. Gatherings for the recitations of the Holy Quran and fateha were held at the offices of the MQM throughout Pakistan. The main gathering was held in the Lal Qila Ground in Azizabad in which deputy conveners of the MQM Mr Anis Ahmed Qaimkhani, Dr Nusrat Shoukat, other members of the co-ordination committee, MNAs, MPAs, senators, office-bearers of various wings of the MQM and workers from units and sectors participated. Fateha was offered by provincial minister Mr Abdul Haseeb and special prayers were offered for the martyrs of the Pakka Qila tragedy. Prayers were also offered for the health of Ms Tahira Khatoon, the elder sister of Mr Altaf Hussain.
