Altaf Hussain says lynching of MashalKhan is brutal and barbaric

The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Mr. Altaf Hussain has condemned in the strongest terms, the brutal and barbaric murder of Mashal Khan, a student of Mass Communication in Abdul Wali Khan University (AWKU), Mardan.
In a statement, Mr. Hussain said that Mashal Khan was brutally beaten to death by a vigilante mob over a fabricated allegation of posting so-called blasphemous content on social media. The horrific visuals surfaced on social media of lynching of Mashal Khan reflects the monster of religious extremism and intolerance are being nurtured in the country systematically which often results in the mindless act of violence and inhumane behaviour.
Mr Hussain said that no one in the society except court of law has the right to punish or issue a decree of death against anyone.
He demanded that those were involved in the brutal murder of Mashal Khan must be tried and punished according to law.
Mr. Hussain extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family of Mashal Khan.
