Quaid-e-Azam believes in equal rights for minorities: Nadeem Nusrat

Quaid-e-Azam believes in equal rights for minorities: Nadeem Nusrat
 Posted on: 8/11/2016
The Convener of Muttahida Quami Movement Nadeem Nusrat said that the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah wanted to provide equal rights to the minorities and interfaith harmony was the wish and dream of Quaid-e-Azam.

In a statement issued from London Secretariat on the occasion of National Day of Minorities, MQM Convener said that the Quaid-e-Azam in his speech at first session of Pakistan’s Constituent Assembly on 11th August said, “Everyone is free to go to his worship place and State is nothing to do with the religion.” He said that after the unfortunate death of Quaid-e-Azam and Liaquat Ali Khan, Pakistan was seized by some conspiring elements that strengthened their regime by creating religious instability in the country.

He said that those conspiring elements now became powerful giants in Pakistan and could not be defeated easily. He said that the religious extremism caused serious intolerance among the religious fraternity and that ultimately brought Pakistan at a place hard to return to normal.
