LONDON, 31-07-2016:
The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain said that MQM did not want any conflict with anyone and simply wanted peace and prosperity of the country.
 
Addressing to the workers and supporters at Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Sanghar and Tando Allah Yar, MQM Chief said that he and his party just demanding to stop the ingoing human rights discriminations and violations of the Constitution against the Urdu-speaking community. He also appealed to the Secretary General of United Nations, US President Barak Obama, British Prime Minister Trisa May, European Union and others to use their influence to eliminate discriminations against Muhajirs or Urdu-speaking community.
 
He said that nearly 38 years had been passed for continuous struggle against the discriminating and evil forces and several workers left the movement but MQM still had its dedicated senior workers intake. He said that they had been working for Muhajirism and sacrificed their lives and time for the struggle of rights.
 
Mr. Hussain said that from the beginning of controversial Karachi operation in 2013, more than 61 workers were extra-judicially killed, thousands of them were illegally and arbitrarily arrested while among them 135 were forcefully disappeared after their arrests. He said that the elected representatives and senior leadership were taken under 90 days remand where they had to face inhuman torture by the Rangers and police.
 
He said that MQM was continuously being told to obey the law but nobody wanted to take notice against the Rangers’ illegal activism against MQM that even after expiring the period of special authority to arrest and raid, the Rangers arresting MQM workers and supporters. He said that it was Chief Justice of Supreme Court’s responsibility to take notice against such illegal activism and political victimization of MQM.
 
MQM Chief said that the pseudo intellectuals and TV analysts unnecessarily suggesting MQM to show patience and tolerance but never say a single word against such discrimination and human rights violations. He said that it was ridiculous that even the listeners of my speeches were being arrested and it was evident that the law enforcement agencies themselves violating the law.
 
He said that Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif also not taking any interest on Muhajirs’ plea and not even took any follow up about the investigations on Aftab Ahmed’s extra-judicial killing. He said that the Rangers were continuously arresting MQM workers and supporters, while their authority to arrest civilians was expired for several days before.
 
He said that MQM had no policy to quarrel with the law enforcement agencies, including the Rangers but the LEAs personnel involved in innocent killings of MQM workers should apologize Almighty Allah and the bereaved families of extra-judicially murdered victims to lessen their pain. He also urged to the office-bearers of his party to maintain unity and discipline within themselves.
