MQM condemns Senator Hamdullah on Marvi Sarmad row

The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement strongly condemned the Senator Hafiz Hamdullah of Jamiat-e-Ulma-e-Islam over the use of abusive language against women analyst Marvi Sarmad.
In a statement, the Coordination Committee said that Islam categorically urged to pay due respect to the women and talk to or talk about them with gentle way. It said that it was a responsibility of all the Muslims, especially religious leaders to follow the path of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and presented themselves as role models for other followers.
The Committee said that in any circumstances, the religious leaders or entities should not use such derogatory remarks against anyone not only against the women. It said it was to remember that Islam is a religion of peace and blessing and its followers especially preachers and pedantic pedagogues.
The Coordination Committee demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani and JUI Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to take immediate notice against such immorality of the Senator Hafiz Hamdullah. Meanwhile, it expressed its heartfelt solidarity to Marvi Sarmad. It also said that MQM strongly support the women rights and moderate elements of the society.
