MQM to protest Sunday on water crisis

The Muttahida Quami Movement announced a protest demonstration at Chief Minister House on Sunday evening at 4PM over severe scarcity of water in Karachi and continuous apathy of Sindh government on the issue.
 
In a statement, the Coordination Committee said that it was decided in a meeting to review current water crisis and its various resources. It was agreed that the Karachiites were in serious anxiety about the current water crisis and other civic issues while the Sindh government seemed showing lackluster to find the resolutions.
 
The Committee said that People’s rage could be burst out if not be addressed properly and promptly because water was one of the basic essential of human life. It said that despite several reminders, the provincial government was continuously discriminating the rights of Karachiites.
 
The Coordination Committee said that the K-4 Project was proposed to supply water to the Karachiites but the water was being supplied to the housing projects of suburb and Goths surrounding the city. It said that the tanker mafia and illegal hydrants also causing serious water shortage in the city.
 
The Coordination Committee said that the Karachiites had been protesting on daily bases but the government and authorities seemed taking no action on their rightful demands. It said that finally MQM decided to raise people’s issues from its platform as it had been doing so and a peaceful protest demonstration would be held at Chief Minister’s House on Sunday 4PM.
