MQM condemns arbitrary arrests of workers

MQM condemns arbitrary arrests of workers
 Posted on: 6/1/2016 1
The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement strongly condemned the illegal and arbitrary arrests of MQM’s four innocent workers from Pak Colony and Shah Faisal Colony by the Rangers.

In a statement, the Coordination Committee said that the Rangers raided MQM workers houses in Pak Colony area and arrested three workers Haider Ali son of Hashim Ali, Abid Shaikh son of Moin-ud-din and Imran Aziz son of Aziz Ahmed, and transported them unknown location. It informed that the victims’ families were not properly briefed about the disappeared detainees.

The Committee also said that some plain-clothed security personnel arrested MQM Shah Faisal Colony worker Naveed Ali Baig son of Arshad Ali Baig from nearby mosque when he was going back to his home after saying his prayers. It strongly condemned such activism from the law enforcement agencies against innocent civilians and political activists.

The Coordination Committee said that to execute the criminalization policy, innocent political workers were being arrested and booked in fake cases. It said that MQM never had any armed wing and it was sheer propaganda to defame MQM among the people. It also demanded to release of all the detainees and recovery of forcefully disappeared persons.
