Co-ordination Committee condemns killings of two workers of Baldia Town Sector
Karachi: 9th June 2012
The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has strongly condemned the brutal killings of Muhammad Iqbal s/o Syed Asghar Ali and Muhammad Khurram s/o Muhammad Saleem by armed terrorists. Both Muhammad Iqbal and Muhammad Khurram were workers of unit 113 of the Baldia Town Sector of the MQM.
The Co-ordination Committee termed the killings of the two workers as a nefarious conspiracy to sabotage peace in the city. Certain powers working against peace and order in the city were afraid of the rising popularity and policies of the MQM, and hence they were systematically targeting the MQM workers for spoiling the law and order.
The Co-ordination Committee said that the innocent MQM workers were being gunned down in incidents of targeted killings, and the terrorists involved in the crimes were roaming freely on the streets.
The Co-ordination Committee extended sympathies to the bereaved families and asked them to bear this irreparable loss with patience. They also prayed Almighty Allah to shower His blessings on the martyred workers.
The Co-ordination Committee demanded of President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Advisor Interior Rehman Malik, Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad, and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take serious notice of the killings of the two workers of the Baldia Town Sector. They said that exemplary punishment should be given to the terrorists involved in the incidents of targeted killings.
