Altaf Hussain demands judicial inquiry on the death of Aftab Ahmed
Chief Justice of Supreme Court and Chief Justice of Sindh High Court should take notice of the death of Ahmed in custody

London: 3rd May 2016.
MQM Founder and Leader Altaf Hussain has expressed his deep sense of grief and sorrow on the death of Aftab Ahmed, co-ordinator of Dr Farooq Sattar, in the custody of Rangers.
He said, “Aftab Ahmed is not the first MQM worker who has died in custody. Several MQM workers and office-bearers have met similar fate.”
“Thousands of MQM workers are in jail and a large number have disappeared after being arrested. Raids and arbitrary arrests continues even today.”
Mr Hussain appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan and the Chief Justice of Sindh High Court to take notice of the death of Aftab Ahmed and asked them to hold a judicial inquiry to determine facts.
Mr Hussain said Aftab Ahmed was a senior party worker and a noble soul. “He used to help people in his neighbourhood.”
Mr Hussain said he was personally grieved on the unfortunate incident. “My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family members. Everyone in the MQM shares the grief.”
Mr Hussain prayed Almighty Allah to bless the departed soul and give patience to the grieving family members.
