MQM only representative of Urdu-speaking community: Altaf Hussain

The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the Muhajirs and their only representative MQM were being suppressed and their fundamental rights were violated in Pakistan.
Addressing to the office-bearers and workers in America, the MQM Chief said that despite all such discriminations and prejudices MQM would not leave its people alone and would continue its struggle to provide rights to deserving people. He said that MQM workers and supporters were being murdered in extra-judicial killings and being disappeared forcefully since the operation was started.
Since September 2013, more than 150 workers were disappeared after their arrests and were never produced in any of the court. Such brutality did not stop to only party workers but the leadership was also targeted, including Amir Khan, Qamar Mansoor, Kahiful Wara and currently Syed Shahid Pasha was Rangers custody.
He said that the bereaved families of disappeared and innocent detainees staged a 2-day protest rally at Karachi Press Club but it seemed nobody bothered to pay any heeds to their issues. He said that they kept pleading for their loved ones’ release and recovery from forceful disappearance.
Mr. Hussain said that the Establishment brought people expelled from MQM on various criminal charges under state supervision through the law enforcement agencies. He said that even some elements from national security agencies were calling MQM Parliamentarians, including MNAs, MPAs and LG representatives to change their party and should join Mustafa Kamal and company.
He said that nearly 500 million rupees were spent for the so-called 24th April rally which was a complete failed show and the media properly gave courage to the vacant seats in the rally. He said that the conspiring elements intensified the operation against innocent workers of MQM after the shameful failure of the rally.
MQM Chief said the workers are being arrested in retaliation while the weapons recovered from their custody seemed sophisticated and hinted Talibans links. He said that workers were being tortured under security agencies’ custody and they were threatened to eliminate their identities.
He said that the Establishment-backed conscious-ridden people were now openly insisting MQM not to use Muhajir card, could give a clear hint how the state machinery worked to eliminate MQM from political scenario. He said that the prime accused Khalid Shamim for Dr Imran Farooq’s murder was allegedly given facilities to record his video message.
MQM Chief Mr. Altaf Hussian urged Pakistani-Americans to play their properly and propagate the ongoing discrimination and violation of human rights, especially the people of urban Sindh. He said that the nation paid homage to their heroes and he thoroughly appreciated the party martyrs who sacrificed their lives for provision of the rights to the people.
