Altaf Hussain extends his support and assistance for anti-polio campaign in Karachi.
Lauds polio workers for running their campaign despite threats from religious extremists.

London: 20 April 2016
 Altaf Hussain, the founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has said despite deadliest attack on police personnel in Karachi, polio eradication campaign should not be ceased.  In a statement issued from his London office Mr. Hussain strongly condemned attack on police officials in west of Karachi guarding health workers of polio eradication campaign. Mr Hussain said  his support and assistance for complete  eradication of polio virus from Pakistan will continue despite threats from religious extremists and banned outfits. He called the attack which killed seven police officials as an horrendous and senseless act of terrorism. On behalf of MQM which is the largest political party of Karachi, Mr Hussain reaffirmed his utmost commitment to support polio eradication campaign in Pakistan particularly in Karachi. He demanded the government to take stern majors for the safety and security of anti-polio health workers.
