MQM condemns arrest of Imran Bashir

KARACHI, 14-04-2016:
The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement strongly condemned the arbitrarily arrest of Joint-Sector In-charge of Hyderabad Sector–G Imran Bashir by plain-clothed security personnel on early Thursday morning.

In a statement, the Coordination Committee said that Imran Bashir was a gentleman and neither involved in any criminal activity nor any case was registered against him. It said that he was just a political worker and had been doing his political duties while the security personnel arrested him.

The Committee said that the continuous arrests of workers and raids on their houses clearly showed that the operation was against MQM. It demanded the authorities to immediately release the Joint-Sector In-charge Imran Bashir and other innocent MQM workers and also stopped arresting political workers.
