An MQM delegation led by the Senior Deputy Convener of Muttahida Quami Movement Dr Farooq Sattar visited Managing Director Water Board Misbahuddin Fareed and informed him the latest water crisis prevailing various parts of the city.
Talking on the occasion, MQM Senior Deputy Convener informed the Water Board high ups about non-provision of water in Orangi Town and Pak Colony from Hub River. While unjustified distributions of water in Site areas, Nazimabad, Gulbahar, South, Old City areas, North Karachi, New Karachi Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Landhi Town, Korangi Town, Malir and their connecting areas.
Dr Farooq also discussed the most irritating issue of valve operations in various areas some other notable issues of the people. He warned the Water Board administration to devise effective plan for upcoming heat wave in peak summer days because people had continuously been suffering with water crisis.
He also acknowledged the administrative restrain of Water Board after Sindh government imposed on it and controlled its operations. Meanwhile, MD Water Board ensured MQM delegation to resolve the water crisis soon. The MQM delegation was comprised of MNAs Muzammil Quraishi, Asif Husnain, MPAs Khalid Iftikhar, Rehan Zafar, Saifuddin Khalid, Nadeem Razi and Sazia Javed, while some high officials of Water Board were also present in the meeting.
