Altaf Hussain hails workers, supporters for undented dedication & commitment
The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain said that despite all the suppression, conspiracies and bitter propagandas MQM kept getting success in the elections and proving its valid mandate across the urban Sindh.
Addressing to a general workers meeting at Lal Qila ground Azizabad, MQM Chief said that neither before the mandate of MQM was accepted nor now was being accepted. He said that some conspiring elements kept devising their malice designs against MQM to weaken and eliminate it.
Mr. Hussain said that currently under the criminalization policy MQM workers and supporters were being politically targeted and victimized. He said that they had accused for targeted-killings, being agents of Indian Spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and other allegations.
He said that if they would be RAW’s agents then why did they rendered undeniable sacrifices in the history of human civilization and could Pakistan be existed? He said that millions of people abandoned their homes and properties and migrated to newly incepted country Pakistan.
Mr. Hussain said that MQM strongly believed in dialogues to resolve issues and differences, and would always support to the state in the fight against terrorism and extremism. He said that the provincial government not yet conducted the long-waited Mayor’s elections.
He said that neither the establishment nor the government seemed providing relief to the people despite severe desperation and deprivations. He said the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was pretending that everything doing well and under his control but the written script was different.
MQM Chief said that initially All Pakistan Muhajir Students Organization (APMSO) and later Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) were the sheer reaction against the discriminations of the ruling elites towards the common Pakistanis. He said that since its inception, MQM had been striving against the status qua and trying to eliminate it from the country.
Referring to the holy Quran, he said the men are born equal and their identities as clan, communal, sectarian and religious members are their reference not their recognition because all men are born from the same mother “Eve.” He said the Punjabi, Sindhi, Pukhtoon, Baloch, Muhajirs, Saraiki, Hazarewal, and others all are Pakistanis and equally rightful citizens.
Mr. Hussain said that the children of the founders of Pakistan were being treated as outsiders and even their fundamental rights were seized as they were not selected in ISS and CSS competition examinations despite having all merit requirements. He said that it was a real task to find an urban Sindh citizen in Sindh Secretariat building situation in Karachi.
He said that even he was treated badly when he got a hostel room in University of Karachi and his Pakhtoon neighbors evicted his lodgings from his room and threatened not to come back again. He said that such continuous discriminations compelled him to start a right struggle under APMSO on 11th June 1978.
He finally intimated the people that Pakistan is going through its decisive movement and anything can be happened at any time and people should open their eyes to observe the situation keenly. He also urged his workers and followers to maintain unity and determination against the all discriminating forces and appreciated their dedication and commitment for MQM.
