The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement expressed grave concerns over the continuous issuance of press release against MQM by the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and categorically denied all the contents of it.
In a statement, the Coordination Committee said that MQM had neither any militant wing nor its workers involved in any criminal activity. It said that everyone knew where the weapon’s factories are situated in Pakistan and rather taking action against such criminals, the people of urban Sindh is being maligned deliberately by a malice conspiracy of criminalization.
The Committee said that the urban people had already been aliened and such vicious victimization could bring no good to anyone but would create more deprivation and anxiety. It said that MQM never supported or patronized any criminal or criminal activities, and it had zero tolerance policy about crime and corruption.
The Coordination Committee appealed the Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif to immediately take notice against the policy to malign Muhajirs in urban Sindh. It also appealed the human rights bodies to raise their voices against the ongoing a filthy media trial of Muttahida Quami Movement.
Meanwhile, MQM’s Coordination Committee condemned the threatening and pressurizing tactics to join the so-called party and accused that its party workers and office-bearers were being forced to change their loyalties. It said that those elements kept threatening party workers to get them arrested and booked them in the fake cases.
The Committee demanded the President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister CHaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif to take notice against such conspirators. It appealed the authorities to take serious measures against such conspirators.
The Coordination Committee said that under which law the security agencies forced urban people to change their political affiliations and should support the “Tanga Party.” It also demanded Core-Commander Karachi Naveed Mukhtar and COAS General Raheel Sharif to take serious action against the prevailing situation and the tactic to alienate MQM should be stopped now.
