MQM condemns arbitrary arrest of workers

The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement said that after the failure of grand conspiracy, the state operation against MQM was intensified to crush it through arbitrary arrests of workers and supporters.
 
In a statement, the Coordination Committee said that the National Action Plan was devised to carry out an operation against the jet-black terrorists and their facilitators. It said but it was evident that the Karachi Operation was purely against MQM to malign it from the national politics.
 
The Committee said that the plain-clothed Rangers and police personnel continuously involved arresting MQM’s senior workers and office-bearers. It said that during this period at least four thousand MQM workers were arrested and nearly one thousand among them were detained while 155 workers were still missing.
 
It said that during the month of March at least ninety MQM workers, including Deputy Convener Syed Shahid Pasha, were arrested and some of them were detained in unknown places. It said that the criminal elements kept executing their malice plan against the Karachiites in the guise of gang-war, other terrorists and extremists’ organizations.
 
The Coordination Committee accused that implementing the dirty criminalization policy all the political workers were being treated as target-killers and militant. It demanded to immediately stop the arbitrary arrests of the political workers and the detainees should be released immediately.
