 Posted on: 3/24/2016
The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement strongly condemned the government over neglecting the K-4 project for the last one year and not increasing the water quota of the metropolis for the last ten years.

In a statement, the Coordination Committee said that the population of the city was continuously swelling and the need of drinking water had also been increased but the government seemed non-serious on the issue. It said that the government did not seem paying any heed and kept neglecting the issue.

The Committee said that the climate change caused number of unfortunate deaths in the last year and still posing serious threat for the current year. It said water is a basic necessity of living and the provision of such essentials needs to be managed on priority.

The Coordination Committee said that not only the provincial government but also the federal government seemed not to be bothered on the issue which could be ended with riots in the city. It demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to immediately order to start working on K-4 project and should increase the water quota of the city.
