A delegation of Muttahida Quami Movement led by the Senior Deputy Convener Dr Farooq Sattar visited the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on the occasion of Pakistan Day on 23rd March.
The delegation was comprised of the members of Coordination Committee Arif Khan Advocate, Mehfooz Yar Khan, MNA Muzammil Qureshi, nominated-Mayor, Deputy Mayor and others. The delegation also laid the floral wreath on the tomb of the Father of the Nation.
Talking to the journalists on the occasion, Dr Farooq Sattar said we need to revive the ideology of Quaid-e-Azam, especially the unity, faith and discipline. He said that if the nation could maintain the unity then the country would definitely become the most developed and prosperous in the world.
He said that there needed to create a society where everyone had right on equality and religious tolerance according to the ideology of Quaid. He said that the resources should be distributed on equality and people should be given due right to decide their fate.
MQM Leader said that the Local Bodies’ Elections had already been conducted in Karachi but the LG system was not given due empowerment to justify its existence. He said that the hurdles should immediately be removed and transformation of the power should smoothly be done now to let the elected representatives of the people to serve them accordingly.
