MQM MPAs show concerns over encroachment at Hub Dam

The Members of Provincial Assembly of Muttahida Quami Movement expressed their grave concerns over the encroachment on the land of Hub Dam Reservoir, destroying the hill areas and digging for stone.
In a joint-statement, the MPAs said that the illegal constructions and activities could also cause great damage to the Karachi Water & Sewerage Board’s lines. They said that it would result serious scarcity of water in the metropolis.
They informed that the encroachment mafia also threatening the KWSB’s officer and employees to continue their illegal activism in Hub Dam area. They said that the provincial government seemed sterile and not reacting appropriately to the criminals.
The Parliamentarians demanded the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to immediately evacuate the area from the encroachment and criminal mafias. They said that all the criminals should be brought to the justice and such illegal activity should be stopped to smooth supply of water to the city.
