The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the Pak-China Economic Corridor and Pak-US Economic Corridor should be built with interests of Pakistan but all four provinces should also be taken on board for the projects.
While, talking to a huge crowd thronged to celebrate the cancelation of his bail and its conditions, MQM Chief addressed the current rulers, especially the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to avoid the impression that the economic corridors were being built to favor Punjab and if other provinces would be neglected people would not accept the projects.
He said that MQM always paid due respect to the army and it should not treat the party as its enemy. He once again offered an unconditional support the army and determined to remove bitter experiences from the past. He said, “MQM and army both are equally shared same passions for the country and are always ready for rendering sacrifices for it.
Talking about the Pak-China Economic Corridor, Mr. Hussain asserted that Punjab was not only Pakistan but the rest of the parts were also belonged to it. He said that the corrupt and incompetent rulers already bisected the country before and now planning to break the remaining part of the country.
He said that whenever the Prime Minister visited China to deal Pak-China Economic Corridor,the C-Pack and Orange Train Project, he went with his brother, son and other relatives but never bothered to choose at least one representative from other provinces. He said that the Prime Minister deviated from his duty and should remember Pakistan is people’s property not his ancestral inheritance.
Mr. Hussain said that the economic corridors should be built for the interest of Pakistan and not only for the interest of Punjab. He also addressed to the Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif to ask the Prime Minister for not taking the remaining provinces on board. He said, “The COAS has sufficient power to rectify the system and can eliminate corruption from the country.
He said that the population had reached more than 200 million but the ruling elite was not ready to give the due right to the people to elect their representatives and the politics became family business in Pakistan. It was only MQM provided an equal platform where an educated person could flourish to the glory without having any family connection or wealth, he added.
MQM Chief said that his party had been facing numerous concocted and fabricated allegations since its inception even in early days of his political career he was sentenced for 9 months and 5 lashes. He said it was an irony that he was arrested in a fabricated case of stealing a police personnel’s duty cap.
He said that in 1992 a state operation was initiated against MQM with some serious concocted allegations of creation of Jinnahpur, which were also nullified by the courts of Pakistan. He said that a false allegation of Hakim Saeed murder case was posted on MQM by the then Nawaz government in 1998 and another army operation was started after imposing emergency in Sindh.
Mr. Hussain said that the opponents always complained of rigging against MQM but the nation was witness of deserted elections after MQM’s boycott of NA polls in 1993. Talking about the recent episode, he said that in 2013 elections’ when the army conducted the elections MQM again succeeded to secure its dominance.
He said, “MQM always pays due respect to the army and complains should be addressed to remove the differences.” He said that he once again offered his unconditional support to the army, establishment and the nation for the sake of the country.
Mr. Hussain said that he got a respectful acquittal from the false allegations of money laundering because of the prayers and supports of MQM committed workers and supporters. He once again felicitated his followers and advised to maintain unity among them to fight future conspiracies with the same spirit.
