Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain yesterday said that he believes and respects the justice system of Britain.
He was addressing the workers and supporters of the party who thronged '90' in Karachi and main offices of MQM in Hyderabad, Sukkur , Mirpurkhas, Nawabshah and other cities after bail notices of Altaf Hussain were cancelled in money laundering case investigated by Scotland Yard police.
Terming a few media anchor persons as aristocrats, he said they behave discriminately when MQM or its leadership came under scanner but kept mum over billions of dollars and Euros collected by Imran Khan, billions spent by Sharifs and other top politicians.
He said money available in his house was saving as a head of a large family (MQM) and kept for "hard times" as per tradition of orthodox eastern people.
He said this concept of saving is new for British police but their behavior through the investigations was of respect and treatment given to him was that of a person believed to be innocent unless proven "guilty".
The law makers of Britain must be appreciated for devising a system which deals with every citizen equally. I wish Pakistan too has an identical system of justice for every individual, he said to a cheering crowd.
He assured his followers that he will not let them down and would always work for their welfare and prosperity of the community. He also appreciated the legal assistance provided by Barrister Faroogh A Naseem, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif and Muhammad Adil besides managers of MQM Web TV, Social Media, News and Media team, Video and other allied departments for propagating and presenting party's point of view during the period of peril.
Meanwhile, he also prayed for softening of attitude of uniformed elite and hoped that they would be able to get Pakistan rid of old, rotten system lead by landed aristocracy.
