Empower Local Bodies for national progress: Nadeem Nusrat

Acting Convener of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Nadeem Nusrat yesterday said that country cannot progress if the local government institutions are not empowered and given requisite resources. 
He was addressing on the occasion of announcement of MQM Overseas Denmark Unit, says a MQM press release issued here. Many months have passed but the local bodies system was not put in place and delay was caused by the bureaucracy and the government which speaks of volume about their "ill will "towards representative elected by people of Karachi, MQM acting Convener said demanding immediate completion of local government in Sindh including elections to the post of Mayor, Deputy Mayor in all parts of Sindh. Later he announced appointment of Saad Ahmed as Unit Organiser besides a three member committee comprising Ahsan Siddiqui, Muhammad Tuaseef and Shaikh Saleem.
