Altaf Hussain warns Muslims not to become party in ME conflict
 
The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain intimated that there had been some grave conspiracies against the unity of Muslim Ummah on international level and people of Pakistan were being dismantled by the sectarian differences or conflicts.
 
In a statement issued from London Secretariat, MQM Chief said, “It is time to react on the crisis wisely and maintain the unity on priority to strengthen the country and secure the humanity.” He requested all the religious scholars to adopt positive attitude on the issue and should ensure unity among the Muslims.
 
Talking to a gathering of religious scholars of various sects and creeds, Mr. Hussain emphasized the government to be separated from the ongoing conflict between Saudi Arabia and Iran. He also suggested not becoming part of 34-nation alliance to incite the conflict because it might stimulate sectarian riots in Pakistan.
 
He said that on Yemen crisis, I suggested the government not to become party but to actively participate to resolve the crisis. He revealed that the international forces utilized the religions for their interests during the proxy wars. He raised a question that could the end-result of a proxy war beneficial for Muslims or Muslim world?
 
Mr. Hussain said, “Saudi Arabia and Iran both are Muslim brethren countries and any conflict between them are dangerous for the entire Ummah.” He said that it was a testing time for the nation to react on the issue appropriately by learning the past experience to save the country from any untoward situation.
 
He termed that the prevailing situation asked the religious scholars to behave with maturity and wisely over the crisis and should maintain the unity and flexibility among sects and creeds. He said that it would only be possible through securing interfaith harmony and religious tolerance in the society.
 
MQM Chief said that if the people would fail to control their emotions regarding sectarian intolerance they soon became bitter enemy to each others. He said that there was no need to become a part of a proxy war and to empower the prejudicial forces. He said that he was in extreme anxiety thinking about the differences between Shia and Sunni which might cause any serious consequences.
 
He said that Pakistan had been facing some nearly unbeatable challenges, especially infrastructure, developments, education, and population control. He said that the Kala Bagh Dam was coin of the time needed to be built immediately after addressing the concerns of Sindhi communal ethnicity.
 
Mr. Hussain said that the Prime Minister should immediately announce an All Parties Conference (APC) on the issue and should bring all facts beneath prior to involving 34-nation theory. He appealed people, especially religious scholars to maintain peace and tolerance for prosperity and due development of the country.
