The Parliamentary Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Dr Farooq Sattar said that more than 25 polling stations were turned to be a stamping camp for a “Tanga Party” (Haqiqui), and its workers casted number of bogus votes in the local government elections.
Talking to a press conference in Landhi area, MQM leader pointed out that hundreds of thousands people were deprived of the basic right to cast votes as per their desire. He said that the people were witness of Haqiqui workers’ terrorist activities when they seized most of the polling stations in the area and casted bogus votes.
He also presented injured MQM workers and supporters to the journalists. He mentioned one of the injured workers whose eyes were removed by the terrorists. He strongly condemned such violent acts and the accomplices should be comprehended.
Meanwhile, MQM Coordination Committee also condemned the violence during the LG polls and attacks against MQM workers and supporters. It said that it was an attempt to steal MQM’s mandate and deprived people of the city.
The Committee said that despite stopping terrorists, the law enforcement agencies comprehended 17 MQM workers. It demanded the Chief Election Commissioner to take immediate notice for such discrimination and should take action against the Haqiqui criminals.
