Local Government elections must be held in Karachi: Amir Khan
Karachi: 1st December 2015.
Senior Deputy Convener of MQM Amir Khan has said local government elections must be held in Karachi as they reflect the aspirations of the people of Karachi. He condemned the incident on MA Jinnah road near Tibet Centre while talking to media persons in RCD Ground in Malir on the occasion of an election meeting.

Amir Khan said the armed forces of Pakistan were bravely fighting a battle against terrorism and laying down their lives for defending the country.

He said the MQM has expressed its determination against terrorism by standing by with the armed forces in every difficult time.

In response to a question Amir Khan said the opponents of MQM were greatly perturbed on the massive MQM victory in Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas and hence they are calling for postponement of elections in Karachi.

He said people of Karachi have rejected the unholy alliance which was now trying to sabotage the local government elections seeing its impending defeat.
