Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is ready to fight Daesh and Taliban whose presence was confirmed by the Ittehad Town incident, said MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
We are ready to make sacrifices but MQM shall not be targeted under the garb of Karachi operation. MQM is again being targeted and the atrocities are becoming intolerable, he said and added that he was being forced to announce “action plan for future”. People have given their verdict, they want a separate province comprising “urban areas “. It is right time to make 20 provinces depending on the increasing population of the country, MQM chief said addressing a huge gathering in Landhi which was a corner meeting but was transformed into a public meeting.
Recalling the treatment meted out to the Urdu speaking community, Altaf informed the youth particularly new boy and girl voters that Mohajirs were removed under the supervision of the ‘Establishment’ from services in Ayub era, quota system during Bhutto era, genocide in Aligarh Colony, Pucca Qila Hyderabad and 1992 operation against MQM. Let the new generation know the history and historic struggle by MQM for securing rights of Urdu speaking lot, he added.
He again offered cooperation to the Pakistan Army and said Mohajir shall not be dubbed as anti-Pakistan or anti-State elements. We are patriotic from the core of our hearts and should be considered as more patriotic Pakistani as any other “son of the soil”, he added further.
Mr. Hussain directed the Haq Parast candidates to serve the people of Karachi irrespective of the language they speak or area they live in.
