Complete transfer of power can benefit people: Qadir Khanzada

People can benefit from local bodies system only if power is transferred to elected representatives completely, said Abdul Qadir Khanzada, member Coordination Committee (CC) of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) here yesterday.

Addressing the corner meetings with elders in Malir and election meeting in Gulistan-e-Johar, he said that LB system would prove effective and successful only when complete power was transferred to the grass root level.

He criticised the arrests and harassment caused to the candidates and supporters of the MQM and said forces that are not prepared to accept mandate of MQM are behind such acts but they would be defeated by ballot. He appealed to the elder wing members to mobilize the voters on Dec 05 for a record turnout of voters.
