Terming Lyari’s Jhut Pat Market blast `an act of barbarism’, Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain demanded of the government to immediately arrest the culprits involve in the heinous crime and wipe out the hideouts of professional criminals and terrorist elements from Lyari.
In a hard-hitting condemnation statement issued on Wednesday, the MQM chief lashed out the terrorists for their inhuman act of killing 11 innocent children and said that such an act was a clear proof that the terrorist elements believed in barbarism, oppression and have no regard for humanity.
He said that Lyari had become a hideout of terrorist elements and they were not sparing even children, women and elderly people to achieve their nefarious designs and, as such, it was highly condemnable act on their part.
Mr Hussain said that Lyari’s tragic incident had made the entire city’s atmosphere gloomy and every citizen was highly grieved over it, realizing the gravity of the situation.
Expressing his sympathies with the grief-stricken families, Mr Hussain prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant fortitude to the grieved families to bear this irreparable loss. He also prayed for speedy recovery of all those who sustained injuries in the incident.
The MQM chief demanded of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take serious notice of the tragic incident and immediately eliminate the hideouts of the terrorists from Lyari.
