Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation of MQM has set up camps at over forty locations in Karachi for collecting relief goods for people affected by the earthquake.
Similar camps have been established in Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Jamshoro, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Nawabshah, and other cities of Sindh on the instructions of Mr Altaf Hussain.
People are generously donating food grains, warm clothes and other items of daily use at the KKF camps.
Talking to MQM office-bearers and workers present at the KKF relief camps, Mr Hussain said that serving the people is the best form of worship. “MQM serves the people by considering it an act of worship.”
He asked MQM workers to help the people selflessly in this testing time. “MQM helped more than anyone else the people affected by the 2005 earthquake. Allah and the people of Pakistan are witness to the work done by the MQM but opponents of MQM refuse to acknowledge it.”
Mr Hussain appealed to people to donate dry grains, tea, sugar, powdered milk, water bottles, pulses, rice, warm clothes, blankets and other items of daily use for helping the people affected by the devastating earthquake.
Mr Hussain extended heartfelt sympathies to the families who lost their loved ones in the quake and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
